Review:
Having seen the movie within the last 5 years, I remembered the beats of McCandles’s trek across the country. What I gained from this book, however, was the side you don’t see in the film; insight from those affected by Chris’s presence in their lives, and even Krakauer’s own adventures. An interesting read to switch things up in my rotation of mainly fiction.
